A European Vega rocket launched today, February 11th 2015 at 13:40 UTC from Kourou in French Guiana carrying the IXV Spaceplane on it's very first mission. The Intermediate Experimental Vehicle (IXV) spaceplane was flown into a suborbital trajectory before it will land in the Pacific Ocean for recovery. This was the 4th launch of Vega since 2011.
